Charlie Gilmour, the son of Pink Floyd guitar legend David Gilmour, has been sentenced to 16 months in jail for violent disorder.

NME is reporting that the 21 year-old Gilmour was arrested and imprisoned after films surfaced of him throwing a trash can at a car transporting Prince Charles and defacing the Cenotaph (which commemorates the British war dead) in London. Gilmour, who was a student at London’s Cambridge University at the time, has apologized for his actions since the incident.
