Danish activists demand to know why their governments block ACTA transparency

Last week, a leaked Dutch memo on the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA), a secret copyright treaty, identified the countries whose negotiators were opposed to bringing transparency to the negotiation process. The worst offenders were the US, South Korea, Singapore and Denmark.

Now, activists in these countries are banging the drum, demanding to know why their governments are standing in the way of public participation in a treaty-making process that will have wide-ranging implications for all Internet users, and it's working.

UKIP MEP Nigel Farage was informed this afternoon by Jerzy Buzek, president of the European Parliament, that he had decided to fine him €3000 for his comments relating to Herman van Rompuy and Belgium.
The fine represents 10 days pay, and is the maximum allowable under the rules of the European Parliament. Mr Buzek imposed it after Mr Farage declined earlier today to apologise for his comments.
Mr Farage said, "Free speech is an expensive business in the European Parliament."
He announced that he intended to appeal against his sentence.

6.4-magnitude quake hits southern Taiwan

A 6.4-magnitude earthquake jolted southern Taiwan on Thursday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. There were no immediate reports of injuries or deaths but some damage has occurred to buildings and major bridges, and power was cut off near the epicenter.

Did HAARP weapon cause Haiti Earthquake killing thousands ?

I personally have a gut feeling that the HAARP device in Alaska was used to cause the 7.0 earthquake that devastated Haiti and killed thousands.
