MoveOn Scrubs Site of ‘General Betray Us’ Ad and Explanation :: The Lonely Conservative

Obama’s minions at MoveOn have scrubbed their website of the rotten “General Betray Us” ad they ran when General Petraeus testified about the surge in Iraq. (Which was successful, by the way.)

The Senate approved a resolution on Thursday denouncing the liberal antiwar group MoveOn.org over an advertisement that questioned the credibility of Gen. David H. Petraeus, the American commander in Iraq.
MoveOn.org, with 3.2 million members, has become a powerful force in Democratic politics and the advertisement it paid for, which appeared in The New York Times, has come under sharp attack from Congressional Republicans and others as unpatriotic and impugning the integrity of General Petraeus.
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York and Senator Christopher J. Dodd of Connecticut, both Democratic candidates for president, voted against the resolution, which passed 72 to 25.
But curiously absent from the vote was Senator Barack Obama of Illinois, also a Democratic candidate for president, who had canceled a campaign appearance in South Carolina so he could be in Washington for votes.

EU MP Mario Borghezi, Bilderberger foe, introduces EU Parliament declaration to end UFO/ET secrecy

As of June 18, 2010 seventeen members of the European Union Parliament, led by Italian EU MP Mario Borghezi, have reportedly signed and tabled a “Written declaration on the declassification of documentation on UFOs” calling on member states to disclose documents relating to UFOs, and end UFO secrecy.
The full text of the EU Written Declaration (0057/2010), dated June 14, 2010, is set out in the Examiner.com article below.
The EU declaration states that the European Parliament “recognizes that in 1978 the 33rd General Assembly of the United Nations formally recognized UFOs as a valid issue.”

Obama’s good for GOP, Boehner says

Editor's note: This story has been edited from its original version. During a wide-ranging interview with the Tribune-Review, House Minority Leader John Boehner said the federal government must continue funding the war in Afghanistan to protect the nation. He also said Congress must curb spending on federal entitlements, such as Social Security to reduce the federal deficit. He did not link those issues directly.
House Minority Leader John Boehner, the Ohio Republican with his eye on Speaker Nancy Pelosi's gavel, said the tide is turning the GOP's way.
"The American people have written off the Democrats," Boehner said Monday in an interview with Tribune-Review editors and reporters. "They're willing to look at us again."
Boehner stopped short of predicting Republicans would gain the 39 seats they need to retake control of Congress, but he said a backlash against President Obama's policies has energized Republican voters more than Democrats. Boehner said voters are angry at a government they believe is overreaching and indifferent.
University of Virginia political scientist Isaac Wood said excitement among tea party protesters might not carry over to the electorate as a whole.

Erosion of the First Amendment as seen on CNN and BP Oil Spill

Anderson Cooper of CNN gave a report on how the Obama administration is preventing members of the press from coming 65 feet of the gulf oil spill. So far away to prevent photographers journalists from closely looking or taking pictures of oil coated birds and animals, and seeing what the heck they’re doing, if anything at all, in the gulf.

Kudos to Anderson Cooper for filing this report and standing up for first amendment rights.
If this is not an erosion of the first amendment, I don’t know what is. Remember, this is the same Obama administration that wants control of the internet. Constitutional rights are absent in their vocabulary. <>/p>

Nigeria’s Oil Spill Crisis

Warning To Gulf Volunteers: Almost Every Cleanup Worker From The 1989 Exxon Valdez Disaster Is Now Dead

Are you sure that you want to help clean up the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico? In a previous article we documented a number of the health dangers from this oil spill that many scientists are warning us of, and now it has been reported on CNN that the vast majority of those who worked to clean up the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska are now dead. Yes, you read that correctly. Almost all of them are dead.
In fact, the expert that CNN had on said that the life expectancy for those who worked to clean up the Exxon Valdez oil spill is only about 51 years. Considering the fact that the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is now many times worse than the Exxon Valdez disaster, are you sure you want to volunteer to be on a cleanup crew down there? After all, the American Dream is not to make big bucks for a few months helping BP clean up their mess and then drop dead 20 or 30 years early.
