A UFO was reported over Kota Kinabalu holiday resort in Sabahin Malaysia. Apparently many people on the resort island spotted the strange round blue translucent disc, so it may not just be a camera trick:
One of the guests, Jemas Dungil, 27, told the tabloid that a woman shouted when she saw a round blue flying object in the sky:
“We came out of a hall to see what the commotion was all about and I saw a round blue disc in the sky. It turned green a few seconds later,” she said.
Several other guests and employees, who claimed to have also spotted the object, said it hovered in the air for a few minutes before disappearing.
Some even claimed that their handphones “went dead” when they tried to record the object with the devices. Jemas said although she managed to capture a picture of the object, she did not believe that it was a UFO.
“What I saw was really extraordinary because it happened right in front of me,” she said.
An alarm system on the Deepwater Horizon had been "inhibited" for about a year before the April 20 explosion that killed 11 workers and started the worst oil disaster in the nation's history, the platform's chief electronics technician testified to a federal panel Friday.
An inhibited mode means sensors for toxic or combustible gases or fire are active and will alert the platform's computer system, but the computer does not trigger an audible or visual alarm, technician Mike Williams told the six-member panel.
Supervisors on the Transocean rig were aware that the alarm system had been inhibited, Williams said.
"When I discovered about a year ago it was inhibited, I inquired as to why it was inhibited, and the explanation I got is that ... they did not want people woke up at 3 o'clock in the morning due to false alarms," Williams said.

A police officer who was filmed pushing a man to the ground during the G20 protests will not face charges over his death.
Ian Tomlinson, 47, died after being caught up in the clashes on 1 April 2009 in the City of London.
Director of Public Prosecutions Keir Starmer said there was no prospect of conviction because experts could not agree on how Mr Tomlinson died.
Mr Tomlinson's son Paul King described the decision as "outrageous".
The officer who was filmed pushing Mr Tomlinson has been named as Pc Simon Harwood from the Metropolitan Police territorial support group.
Mr Starmer said there was a "sharp disagreement between the medical experts" about the cause of death, which led to three post-mortem examinations being conducted on Mr Tomlinson.
The first examination by Dr Freddy Patel - currently under investigation for alleged misconduct over four unrelated post-mortem examinations - found he died of natural causes linked to coronary artery disease.
In another gross display of violence, police bash a mother's head into the ground while her child sits unattended in a stroller near by. The woman was resisting arrest when the officer decided to teach her a lesson. He slammed the woman's head into the pavement from a full standing position knocking her unconscious.
This is another example of police brutality against the most vulnerable members of our society. No one feels more vulnerable then a mother caring for her baby. I can only imagine how scared this mother is, knowing police intend to take her child and place him or her into CPS custody.
By the way, according to statistics, the CPS is 10 times more likely then parents to abuse a child
Federal investigators have identified several dozen Pentagon officials and contractors with high-level security clearances who allegedly purchased and downloaded child pornography, including an undisclosed number who used their government computers to obtain the illegal material, according to investigative reports.
The investigations have included employees of the National Security Agency, the National Reconnaissance Office, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency — which deal with some of the most sensitive work in intelligence and defense — among other organizations within the Defense Department.
The number of offenders is a small percentage of the thousands of people working for sensitive Pentagon-related agencies. But the fact that offenders include people with access to government secrets puts national security agencies “at risk of blackmail, bribery, and threats, especially since these individuals typically have access to military installations,’’ according to one report by the Defense Criminal Investigative Service from late 2009.
